Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

The Digital CAT Psychotherapy File is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including people with disabilities. We are continuously improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

This app aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and the accessibility requirements of the UK Equality Act 2010. We have implemented the following features to support this commitment:

  • Adjustable Text Size: Choose from Small, Medium, Large, or Extra Large text. All content reflows responsively up to 200% without horizontal scrolling.
  • Colour Themes: Light Mode, Dark Mode, and High Contrast Mode for users with low vision or colour sensitivity. All text maintains a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
  • Read Aloud: Built-in text-to-speech on all major content sections, with Play, Pause, and adjustable Speed controls.
  • Touch Targets & Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are at least 44×44 pixels. Full keyboard and switch navigation is supported with no keyboard traps.

Screen Reader Support

The app is compatible with native screen readers including VoiceOver (iOS/macOS) and TalkBack (Android). All interactive elements include appropriate ARIA labels and semantic HTML for accurate description by assistive technologies.

Technical Specifications

Accessibility features are built using W3C technologies. The app respects system-level reduced-motion preferences. User preferences (text size, theme, reading speed) are saved locally on your device and are not shared.
